Frame Top Java Table

This antique teak frame top table is all original with stylish Raffles edge and beautiful detailing on its sculptural legs. Sir Stamford Raffles, who was a British Colonial agent in the 18th Century was beloved by the Indonesian people, so they created a style of colonial furniture with this detailed edging and called it the Raffles edge, found on many early colonial pieces. The center panel is one piece teakwood.
